Finance firm Andersen LLP partners with tetraplegic support charity

Andersen LLP is to provide financial and strategic support to Regain – The Charity for Tetraplegics, which supports people who have had life changing spinal injuries.

Support will help the charity in its mission to provide practical help, specialist equipment and rehabilitation to those who have lost the use of their limbs following injury.

The charity was founded to support those who had suffered tetraplegia following a sporting injury but now helps those with the condition from all causes.

"We are extremely proud to partner with Regain and support the vital work they do for individuals facing life-changing injuries. Regain’s work goes far beyond financial assistance - it helps people rebuild independence and dignity,” said Andersen LLP partner Miles Dean, who is also a trustee at Regain.

Regain’s chair Ivan Jones added: “We are delighted to be working with Andersen LLP. Partnerships like this are essential to sustaining and growing our support for those who have experienced devastating spinal injuries.

“Andersen’s backing will help us reach more people and continue providing the vital assistance that makes a real difference to everyday life.”

Among those supported by the charity is James Gould, with Regain providing him with funding for specialist equipment. As a result he has been able to spend time outdoors with his young son.

"The support I received from Regain has been life-changing,” he said.

“It has given me greater independence and allowed me to focus on rebuilding my life. Without that help, many everyday tasks would still be a challenge."
