UK Power Networks is inviting charities and community groups to apply for grants under its £300,000 Power Partners fund which aims to support organisations that work to alleviate fuel poverty, support people in vulnerable circumstances and make community buildings warmer and cheaper to heat.
Funding is available to groups based across UK Power Networks’ distribution area of London and the East and South East of England.
Veronika Karailieva, stakeholder engagement manager for UK Power Networks, said: “Round one of Power Partners already saw a multitude of community groups and charities across our network receive grants from £2,000 to £20,000. This additional support will mean more people in vulnerable circumstances in our communities will benefit from energy efficiency advice and vital community groups will be able to run their services in more energy efficient facilities.”
