Quality assurance firm aims to raise £30,000 for MS Society

Quality assurance company 2i has launched a 15-month charity partnership with MS Society.

The firm, which is headquartered in Edinburgh and has offices in London, Glasgow, Bangalore and Hyderabad, aims to raise £30,000 for the charity that supports people impacted by multiple sclerosis.

The partnership is being led by the company’s employee led Charity Guild group that coordinates its giving to good causes.

The partnership follows fundraising already taken place for the charity by 50 workers at the firm, who walked more than 15m steps.

MS Society was chosen due to a personal connection with MS among staff members, including those with the condition or supporting family members.

“This is a cause with personal meaning for colleagues at 2i,” said the firm’s chief operating officer Pauline Smith.

“Through the partnership, we want to build understanding of MS and give our teams practical ways to support the charity. Our Charity Guild will help colleagues shape activities and share our progress throughout the partnership.”

MS Society director for Scotland added: “We’re excited to launch our partnership with 2i, and we’d like to thank staff at the organisation for choosing to support the MS Society for the next 15 months.

“More than 17,000 people in Scotland, and more than 150,000 people throughout the UK, live with MS. It can be debilitating, exhausting, and unpredictable.

“The money 2i raises will help us continue this vital work. And our partnership will lead to an increased awareness of MS and the impact it has on so many lives. We look forward to working with 2i and supporting them to make a positive difference to the MS community.”
