Nottingham Express Transit has raised more than £17,000 for local charities, according to its latest figures for last year.
Charitable activities included staff taking part in the Three Peaks challenge event, which raised more than £2,000 for the Nottingham tram company’s charity of the year Our Dementia Choir.
A further £2,500 was raised for the choir, including £1,000 through a sponsored walk that took in 12 miles of the city’s tram tracks.
Our Dementia Choir was founded eight years ago by local actress Vicky McClure to support those living with dementia.
Other fundraising has included raising £1,000 to the Strelley Family Fun Day, £1,000 to Switch Up and over £500 for Breast Cancer Now.
The firm also donated £1,000 worth of food to the Aspley Food Bank, while individual fundraising efforts saw members of the network raise a total of over £2,500 through personal fundraising challenges, to good causes including Framework, Cancer Research and Our Military Veterans.
“Our fundraising efforts in 2025 reached unprecedented heights, beating that of previous years. We’re incredibly proud of the generosity shown by each and every staff member,” said NET business engagement manager Rebecca Horne.
“With their dedication to fundraising and supporting those in need, we’ve helped to make a real difference to so many lives within the Nottinghamshire community.
“Just as the trams are so important to the community of Nottingham, so are its local charities that operate to support those that need it most.
“That’s why we always strive to prioritise fundraising efforts each year, so we can do our bit to make an impact and support the important causes that matter most.”
