League One football club partners with health charity

Leyton Orient FC has partnered with Homerton Hope Charity, which raises money for Homerton University Hospital.

The move follows a longstanding relationship between the League One club and Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, where players and staff have regularly visited as it is near to its London based stadium.

“The club’s close relationship with the hospital underscores its commitment to supporting local health initiatives and improving the well-being of residents in East London,” said Leyton Orient.

The club’s partnership account manager Pa Lette added: “We've been visiting Homerton University Hospital for a long time, especially around Christmas time.

"Whenever the players have come for their Christmas visits here, they tell us of the incredible place Homerton is. The staff, the patients, and the culture of the place is remarkable, and we're really proud to continue to grow our relationship.

She added that its player Sean Clare “was born in the hospital, and I know of a lot of Orient supporters who have their own unique relationships with Homerton, and it really is a special place".
