Global law firm Dentons has provided more than £1m worth of pro bono legal services to the Air Ambulance Service charity over the last decade, its latest figures reveal.
The midlands charity operates emergency medical services under the name Your Local Air Ambulance across Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. It also runs the National Children’s Air Ambulance Services, which has taken more than 1,200 ill babies and children to hospitals.
Legal support offered includes help on leases and other property matters, commercial contracts and intellectual property.
“Dentons has gone above and beyond the traditional role of legal counsel,” said the charity’s chief operating officer Richard Clayton.
“They’ve become a strategic partner, helping us grow with confidence, protect our reputation, and ultimately save more lives. Their dedication and professionalism have had a profound impact on our mission.”
Dan Bodle, Denton’s head of litigation and arbitration in the UK, added: “Supporting The Air Ambulance Service for the past ten years has been a privilege.
“We’re proud to contribute to a cause that makes such a tangible difference in people’s lives.”
