Equestrian insurance broker and retailer Harry Hall has donated £10,000 and gifted dozens of items to its charity partner of the year Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

The charity operates eight rescue and rehabilitation sites for horses across the UK and its partnership with Harry Hall also sees the firm promote its messaging around responsible horse ownership.

In addition, the firm has adopted one of the horses in the charity’s care, Callisto, who was born at its Norfolk sanctuary after his pregnant mother was rescued.

Among items it has donated include rugs, boots and bridles for staff and volunteers at the charity.

“We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved with Redwings so far this year and adopting Callisto feels like a real milestone moment for the partnership,” said Harry Hall’s managing director Liz Hopper.

“Knowing that he was born at the sanctuary after his mum was rescued really brings home why this work matters.”

Redwings Horse Sanctuary chief executive Lynn Cutress added: ““Partnerships like this make a real difference to the horses, ponies and donkeys in our care.

“The funds raised by Harry Hall this year have gone directly towards the day-to-day cost of feeding, rehabilitating and caring for the equines that come to us, many of whom have been through incredibly difficult starts in life.

“Having Harry Hall adopt Callisto is a brilliant example of what this partnership is all about - adoptions are such a vital source of ongoing support for us, and we hope Callisto's story encourages others to consider adopting a Redwings resident of their own.”

The firm’s partnership with the charity concludes this December.
