Tesla delivered 1.3m vehicles last year

Tesla says that it produced over 439,000 vehicles and delivered over 405,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2022, with vehicle deliveries growing 40 per cent year on year to 1.31 million while production grew 47 per cent 1.37 million.

Although this is good news for the company, and some relief for Elon Musk after the turmoil over Twitter, alongside all car makers Tesla is likely to face a difficult 2023 as global recessions and the cost of living dampen consumer demand. Tesla is also facing greater competition from traditional car makers as they finally take on the electric challenge, such as Ford, and new rivals such as Rivian.
