Cambridge Management Consulting has announced it has achieved Certified B Corporation Status, which is handed to socially responsible organisations.

This includes firm’s action to tackle climate change, support for human rights, offering fair work practices to staff, and strong governance.

The management consultancy, with offices and representation in Cambridge, London, New York, Paris, Dubai, Singapore and Helsinki, commits at least 10% of its annual profits to good causes and at least 1% of its work time on pro-bono support.

It joins more than 10,800 certified B corporations globally.

Cambridge’s founder and executive chair Tim Passingham said he is “immensely proud to be recognised as a B Corp”.

He said: “We have always believed that a successful business has responsibilities beyond its shareholders, and B Corp gives us a rigorous framework against which we can clearly demonstrate that commitment.

“This isn’t about putting a badge on the business; it’s about accountability. A business needs to be commercially successful, but the way it achieves that success matters.

He added: “It is recognition of the business we have built, as well as a commitment to the business we want to become – and the standards give us a framework to keep challenging ourselves, improving our impact, and making sure that growth continues to create value for our widening group of stakeholders.”
