Midlands based Belfry Hotel and Resort is fundraising for St Giles Hospice as part of its commitments to good causes for 2026.
Last year it raised a total of £120,000 for good causes and already this year it has raised almost £5,000 for the hospice charity, which supports patients and their families across Staffordshire and Birmingham.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be chosen as one of The Belfry’s charity partners for 2026,” said St Giles Hospice chief executive officer Elinor Eustace.
“This partnership will make a real difference to our community. In 2024-25, we cared for over 2,600 people, with more than 80% of that care delivered in people’s own homes.
“With less than a quarter of our funding coming from the government, partnerships like this are vital to help us continue to be here for local people, and their loved ones, when they need us most.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at The Belfry for their support and can’t wait to hear about all their exciting fundraising initiatives.”
Supporting the hospice has been made as part of the Royal Sutton Coldfield hotel and resort’s announcement of its fundraising activity for the year, that also includes raising money for the third year running for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
It will also continue it’s relationship with Hospitality Action, which supports workers in the sector facing crisis.
The hotel and resort’s managing director Chris Eigelaar added: “We selected St Giles Hospice as our local charity partner because of the strong personal connection many of our team members have with the organisation and the invaluable support it has provided to their families.
“Charity is a powerful part of who we are at The Belfry, and I’m consistently inspired by the energy, creativity and generosity shown by our teams.
“Without them, it wouldn’t be possible to provide all our charity partners with much-needed support, and I can’t wait to see the imaginative initiatives they deliver this year to make 2026 our best fundraising year yet.”
