Better Society Awards 2019: Winners Announced

Aberdeen Standard Investments, Deutsche Bank KPMG, The Berkeley Group, Deloitte, Warner Bros., ITV, Deutsche Bank and Capital One were all among the winners at the Better Society Awards 2019, celebrated with a packed ceremony in London last night.

A busy room celebrated the winners and all the shortlisted companies and charities for their steps in making a better world through community action, technological innovation and corporate responsibility.

Better Society Network editor, Mark Evans, said: “Recently we have had the Extinction Rebellion campaign, a week without the UK using coal to create electricity, plastic pollution found in the depths of the ocean and stark warnings of where our future is heading.

“The mix of bad news and good news is confusing; particularly in a society that seeks simple answers to complex issues. However, these awards celebrate the steps that are being taken to curb the worst excesses, to communicate the message; to make businesses, charities, government work, if not as one, then at least aligned to creating a better place to live in.”
