Hotels with Heart Foundation, the charitable arm of St Giles Hotels is launching a campaign to support the mental health of unpaid carers and charity workers.
The Foundation has partnered with mental health support company Self Space to offer one to one and group therapy for both unpaid carers and frontline charity workers.
In addition, it is continuing its work with Carefree, the organisation that provides vacant hotel rooms to carers in need of a break. Already it has donated more than 300 hotel stays to unpaid carers.
“If we truly want to foster a thriving, compassionate society, one of the core places to start is by caring for those who care for everyone else,” said St Giles Hotels chief executive Abigail Tan.
Self-Space Founder Jodie Cariss added: “We are so excited and inspired to be working with Hotels with Heart.
“The world needs action, not talk, to move us into a better, more connected and compassionate place.”
She added that the Foundation’s campaign “perfectly aligns with our brand mission, having provided 1-1 therapy, training and mental health workshops across the service industry. Projects like these contribute hugely to better mental health. We couldn't be prouder to part of this movement.”
