Cardfactory funds homelessness charity’s team of psychologists

Cardfactory’s foundation has financed the placement of a specialist team of psychologists at Centrepoint as part of its three-year partnership with the homelessness charity.

The six specialists are based in London, Manchester, Bradford and Barnsley to deliver care to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have experienced trauma.

Their support aims to help young people build resilience, confidence and independence.

The team’s head Dr Helen Miles said: “This funding has been truly transformative. Having a full team of PIE psychologists means we can reach more young people, offer more consistent support, and make trauma-informed care an integral part of everything we do.

“The Foundation’s commitment has allowed us to embed psychological expertise not just in one-to-one therapy, but in staff training, reflective practice, and even the physical design of our spaces.

“Together, we’re helping young people rebuild trust, stability and hope for the future.”

Also through the charity and firm’s partnership almost 400 Centrepoint staff and 22 partner charities have received mental health training.

Cardfactory Foundation head Pushpinder Gill said the psychology team's work is “life-changing”.

“This partnership is about more than funding services, it’s about empowering young people to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence,” she added.
