Business leaders partner with domestic abuse survivors’ service

The Female Advisory Board (FAB), which is made up of female business leaders in Yorkshire, has launched a partnership to a support peer-led after crisis domestic abuse service in the county.

The board’s members have pledged to make monthly donations to the service with FAB giving match funding.

The service supports women and children in the North Yorkshire area impacted by domestic abuse. This includes supporting women who have recently left an abusive relationship and those who did so many years ago to manage ongoing post-separation abuse.

“New Beginnings has built something truly incredible by harnessing the power of peer support to help women rebuild their lives after domestic abuse,” said FAB founder and chief executive Samantha Addy.

“This value aligns closely with FAB’s core mission – we believe that women supporting women creates real, lasting change.

“We’re honoured to stand alongside New Beginnings and contribute to their vital
work.”

New Beginnings chief executive Lindsay Oliver added: “We are deeply grateful to FAB and its members’ commitment to supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

“This partnership will enable us to reach more women who need peer support as they navigate life after abuse.

“The matched donation model demonstrates FAB’s genuine investment in our cause, and we’re excited to work together with an organisation that truly understands the transformative power of women supporting women.”
