Barclays has become the first company to be named a Founder Leader by Business Disability Forum (BDF) in recognition of the bank’s status for disability performance.
In 2012, 2013 and 2016 Barclays achieved gold certification in BDF’s Disability Standard, which helps organisations plan and measure improvements in their disability performance, and this builds on 25 years of as a Founder and then a Partner of BDF.
Mark Mclane, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Barclays, noted: “We have been actively engaged in the work of BDF for 25 years and see this as a tangible demonstration of our aspiration to become the most accessible and inclusive FTSE 100 company. As Founder Leaders, we remain committed to sharing best practice and to continuing to learn from others as part of our drive to improve access and inclusion for all colleagues, customers and clients.”
