Speaker profile: Vanya Harris

Vanya joined Catlin in 2008 with responsibility for developing a CSR function for the business. Over the years she has grown the CSR function from a small charitable donation based programme to a Global CSR Programme widely recognised as an example of best practice both within and outside of its market. The programme focusses largely on environmental sustainability, Education and community impact. It won the Lord Mayor’s Heart of the City Dragon Award in 2011 with Vanya personally going on to win the BITC Game Changer award in 2012. She was appointed Head of CSR for Catlin 2014 in and Executive Director of CSR for XL Catlin on 1st January 2016. Vanya started her career in telecoms then moved into the magazine and property industries in Marketing and Sales roles. She is on the board of the Insurance Industry Charitable foundation (IICF) and a Contributor for the Heart of the City, advising SME’s on how to develop their own CSR programmes. She is also part of the Lloyd’s CSR Network.
